I've also been thinking about running a motorcycle hitch hauler for bike projects. Unfortunately my receiver setup is only 1 1/4". I am sure most are setup for 2", and I want it to obviously be safe enough. Anyone know of a good solid aftermarket receiver that will bolt up to the stock location? Would it be able to handle a 400 lb. motorcycle?


Just cut the 1 1/4" away and weld (or have someone you know weld) a boxtube with a 2" inner diameter in there instead. Drill the hole for the pin and bobs your uncle.
