woke up, its about 51 degrees here in the LV desert. Perfect ! Went out to the garage, turned the key and no chirping ! Of course this could all change as I take her for a drive, but I haven't heard her this quiet in weeks.

so how did I get here ?
1: purchased new belts 2: sanded down pulleys to increase friction, grip 3: never used any dressings or lubes on my belts 4: tightened serpentine belt to point of being able to bend at 90 degree angle at longest gap between pulleys...and most important lesson (for me) make sure your pulleys line up. Mine did not, and it took me 3 weeks to get my head out of my arse and figure it out.
last but not least: mines a five speed. don't get too excited about the prospects of fixing your monty that there is that ONE time you forget to put tranny in neutral with parking brake on. ONE time. Scared the bejesus outta me.
