As an aircraft mechanic it should be (I.A.W)In accordance with the most current service manual.

lol. it should be directed at all A+Ps I've known. I.A.W. is just to cover our asses. Not too many aircraft engines even have head bolts. However, I would suggest using a few drops of oil on threads and under head of the bolt to help insure equal torque on all the head bolts.

All aandp's aren't anal. I had a friend in Muscle Shoals AL who drove a veebub bug whose head was held on with a whole bunch of screw hose clamps end to ended around the whole motor. He drove it that way for several thou miles while he saved up his whiskey change for a new block without srriped out head bolt holes. Best diagnostician I've ever known, God rest his soul, gone these many years. Jim Beam killed him in the end.
