Body Damage is Cool
Looking at a '93 SR tomorrow. Appears rust free. I know the 93s still have the 3.0l which I am fine with. Anything else unusual about these compared to the 95/96? This would be a replacement for the '92. Daughter got hit in her Caravan this week, and I'm pretty sure it will be totalled. Nobody hurt thank god and not at all her fault. But it would be nice to have another vehicle with an automatic. She doesn't quite have the hang of driving a manual yet.

Paul,
I think it would be a cool truck. Some came with the bouncy seats, both sides. I bet it has the 4.88 gears with a locker. I'd like to have one, but I need the five speed to pull behind my motorhome. I think they only came with the auto's.
The 95/96 trucks have the bigger rear axle and of course bigger engine and a few more bells and whistles, but I don't think your daughter would notice.

Assuming it runs, buy it. Make sure they didn't pull the "check engine" light bulb to fool a prospective buyer (based on the parts replaced you listed); it should light up when started.

Slather some Lexol leather preservative on the seats, sand down the plastic body pieces, mask it off and spray paint it. It'll look all fresh.

Those things are about as safe as a vehicle gets, as long as she has a sense of where the corners are.

Put an ARB on the front then it doesn't matter (for her) where the corners are.

WWFF, you and I must meet one day. Bring the monkey doll hanging from the mirror, too. You'd fit in here in AZ. So would FastEddy, at least for a week or so, 'til he got homesick.

I love Road Runner cartoons, and in the famous cross country repo trip, AZ is where we bought the Coors, but all I saw was Route 66/I40. amd the inside of the concrete tepee motel room in Holbrook, with one massive hangover from Vegas. I40 turned into two lane Route 66 in every stinking little town, and it rained, and the van I was driving had 3 slick 60 series tires on one front and the rear, and an 80 seried on the other front, and the alkali dust on the road was slick as owl sh*t. All we saw was northern AZ, which was pretty in it's way, I like trees and such. I'd love to visit, though...

You Sir, are welcome in my home any time. I have a couch for your hangover, in fact, I have a few. You can even bring your Son. We'll teach him what 'wheelin' means.

Sorry for hijacking yet another thread.

Rust free - drives great - price was right.

It has the 15x7" wheels - are 33x10.5-15 tires going to fit without any lift?
