Changed my oil exactly 3 months ago yesterday at 182,062. Yesterday bought some 10-40 to change it for its 3 month interval. This is where I screwed up. No leaks I have ever seen, either in my driveway or garage. Nada. Nothing. So last night I pull the drain plug and wtf#$%, 1.5 quarts of oil come out, that's it ! Where did 3.5 quarts of oil go ?? Again, no leaks anywhere around the areas I park. So I'm looking around and the only residue of wetness under there is a touch of oil coming from the front (seal?) where the oil pan wraps around the crank. No drips, just a lil wet.
So..is it possible to burn 3.5 quarts in 3 months and 2,845 miles ?
I should also add that when I bought this monty I was under impression the motor had been rebuilt, from the outside you can see the new gaskets, seals, no dirt anywhere on valve covers, manifold, underneath, etc.
Its the 3.0 v6. Anybody have any answers for this ?
