I ran them on my SWB genII, and now run the mud version on my LWB genII. The BFGs were okay in the winter, but I'll take snow tires any day over any AT. I put 110k kms on my ATs. Great traction without giving up too much to the weight of a wider tire. I now have about 70k kms or so on my mud terrains KM2s (well, the front ones - replaced the rears already). They are not great in snow unless its the deep stuff: as soon as we hit this time of year I switch out to my ice tires and put away the BFG's till spring. The ATs were a little better but I guess it depends on how much snow/ice you're talking.

ATs were acceptable as far as noise, the MTs are very noisy... noisier as the wear of course. Neither set balanced very well, and on different wheels... not sure if BFG has improved this or not?

Overall, I think the 33x1050 is a perfect size for the genII. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
