That's generally the idea behind the "adjustability" of a Weber carb, it's capable of working on numerous different vehicles with different fueling requirements. Weber's recommended specs for the engines the carb fits should be available with some searching, so you don't have to go into tuning the carb completely blind. If you buy the Weber kit designed for your vehicle it comes with an appropiately jetted carb that should bolt right up and run properly right out of the box. Most factory carbs have very little adjustment since they are designed for one specific engine, so getting one to work properly on an engine other than what it was originally fitted to could be difficult.
