This should make you feel a little better... if not realize you have a kindred spirit LOL... Honda cvcc engine from the mid '80s when smog restrictions began to get crazy... ![[Linked Image]](http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18s04h86ksz0fjpg/original.jpg)

Just thinking about all the vacuum hoses on my truck makes me want to set the whole thing on fire. I can't wait until I can afford a weber for it and get it running right.

vacuum lines are the gremlins play ground <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />. Do give props to the people that engineered those systems

At the Honda shop I worked for, I was often the sucker assigned to rehose a car. An '84 Accord 4-door was 1.something spools of 3mm hose. Sheesh!

A friend of mine put a weber on a 2.3L Ford and it never ran satisfactorily, he finally bought a rebuilt Holley Weber for a Pinto and it runs like a charm, it has same base mount as Weber, just have to "engineer" the linkage. Eddie

Eddie This has been suggested more than once. I might have to try it. Webers are almost *too* adjustable and so they are hard to dial in from what I understand. I wonder if running a carb designed for a 2.3L would run lean on a 2.6?

i had a machine shop make and weld an adapter to my 2.6 manifold so that it would accept a Ford Escort 1.6 carb. It worked great. more power than I ever had with the Mikuni.

Looks like I might have found my new direction to go. Thanks for this, guys. I had heard of this several times but needed more than "it should work" to take it too seriously.
