New to me Trooper and hoping to get a good bit of tech and upgrade advice. I just bought a 1992 Trooper S 4X4 base model, P/S and P/B only, no A/C, no nothing. Considering I paid $1550 with a new smog check here in SoCal, not a bad deal I think. So far I have to replace a bad alternator and battery, so I'm going to upgrade there so I can add a winch or lights later. Would some of you be so kind as to post some of the more reliable sites when it comes to sourcing parts, specifically for now a high amp output alternator, (kid at autozone tried to sell me a serpentine belt and an "import" rebuilt alt saying it would fit). I'm not going for a rock crawler or a beauty queen either, just solid reliable transportation that can get me through deep snow in the mountains. Thanks in advance.
