Has anyone used a kinetic rope, such as master-pull for recovery? Thoughts? I believe another is bubba rope? They are rather expensive, but a good idea.

thanks,

I have used my ARB snatch strap quite a few times. It gives you a bit of a slingshot feeling and Ive had more success with that over any chain or standard rope. $48 from amazon.

Snatch straps are great. They spread the same force out over time so you don't break parts or pull them off, and are more effective in breaking suction in a mud stuck.

Body Damage is Cool
I also have a snatch strap, 4" wide have had it for probably 30 years. 25 or 30 ft long. Broke several ropes prior. Straps work great. Slingshot effect. Used mostly for snow extraction when I lived in North Dakota. I think the brand is "Keeper".

Like this - bet I paid more 30 years ago.

I also use the ARB snatch strap. It's effectively the same as the other snatch straps but is not a tow strap like the tow straps sold at 4 wheel parts.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I use my Kinetic rope all the time. I have been wheeling a lot in the snow and sometimes you just don't know its 4+ feet deep till your in it!

I have been beating on my Kinetic rope sine day 1 and I do a lot of bumper to bumper pulls. We simply hook up, get as close as possible and then hammer the gas. WAY less violent than a strap or chain.

I went with a rope from Billet4x4.com The Poly Guard Kinetic rope has held up well. The orange coating really helps with rubbing. I went with the 1inch version, 30 feet.

I may have some video from last weekend where we had three vehicles connected with multiple kinetic ropes. My Montero needs a diet!

**EDIT** Here is the video. The Jeeps are connected with a Strap, as you can see it is much more violent than the Jeep to Montero Hookup that is done with 2 Kinetic ropes.
