My friend is trying to get a lsd into his 86 mighty max truck.

He is having a few issues right now. He found a 2wd montero sport without lsd, and a v6 raider with lsd. He pulled the punkin out of the raider and bolted it to the m.s. axle using ms axles. The only problem is that one axle sticks out about 1/4" while the other bolts in just fine. Anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing maybe the ms non lsd axles are a little longer?

I told him to go measure both and that may help, but I figure I would ask here as maybe someone has done something similar before.
