Still don't need to lift, only minor trimming of front bumper ends and gentle push on the sheetmetal at the leading edge of the front inner fenderwell.

I've had 3 sets of 33" tires on my Raider. My Raider was a daily driver work vehicle that traveled often from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe to Kirkwood and back down the mountain, and sometimes twice in a day. Yes, I wanted a bit more power to pull the hills, then to stop (i.e. bigger braking), but I never had trouble maintaining 70-ish MPH in the flats. The overall fuel consumption per tank was very similar.

I use these pictures perhaps too much, but they demonstrate 33" all terrains and muds using the stock setup.
