Got my car out of the garage which wasn't easy considering the 87 pup was right behind it. Removed air cleaner assy. - lots of evidence of backfiring up through the intake. Plugs are carboned up, nice and black. All of them. This is beginning to look more like a HG or timing issue. Wonder if the chain is OK. No evidence of gas in the AAP hose. Carb float bowl is empty. Rotor and cap look used but Ive seen worse that ran fine. Pardon my slowness but I don't seem to have much motivation to tear into it at the moment. Truck only has around 190K on it, and is on second timing chain that was replaced around 125k or so. Looks like its time for a compression test.
