Based on the thread about shock travel, seems like I will be ordering from Amazon. Never even looked at the site before. Shipping times good? Shipping prices good? Any aggravations with using the third party vendor system?

I have had no issues whatsoever in the last two years. They really do have a little bit of everything including car parts and food.

Recently, I did order a laptop battery that was mis advertized as a 7800 MAh battery when it was a 7200 and amazon gave me a 30% refund to keep it! I never had to contact the 3rd party vendor, they are totally empowered to make the decisions.

I am a prime subscriber though and there are two distribution centers for amazon within an hour drive, so typically everything comes overnight instead of the 2 day shipping. If it's some off the wall crap from china, usually it takes the two days.

I also do quite a bit of shopping via Amazon. Never had an issue with missing deliveries but then again I get things delivered to the office although it drives my lesser paid coworkers crazy to see what sh_t I'm buying especially after I get a big commission check.

As has been said, Amazon prime is worthwhile if you don't like waiting on ground shipping and are not close to one of their distribution centers. Also get access to some of their online movies and TV shows. I have it 'cause I'm impatient.

Last but not least, you can frequently find the items on Amazon at the same price or lower elsewhere but for me it's simply easier to single source everything unless there's a huge difference in price.

Third party vendors sometimes take longer to get stuff from. If I was you if you can get it from amazon I would even if its a few more $$. I use them a lot like 3-4 times a week for a good 4 years. I have had returns and more then one other problem but they made it all right in quick order. Even Free over night shipping on some stuff to get it out to me fast after they messed up.

I use them regularly. Bought a 8800mah battery for my laptop, via an amazon seller. It was a dud. Contacted the seller, jumped through their hoops (no big deal) and they sent me another one, and didn't ask me to go through the trouble of returning the old one.

I generally recommend them, although for some things, they are NOT cheaper. It pays to shop around. I buy computer stuff at times and newegg is often cheaper.

Make sure you have the exact part number as if it's wrong they will take it back in the easiest return process ever...but you don't wanna have to use that.

I'm a vendor on Amazon and they are extremely focused on customer satisfaction. When they tell me to dance, I dance...immediately.

I posted in the shock travel thread with some part numbers for bushings, but I can give a thumbs up to Amazon as well. I have a Prime membership as well, and it's totally worth it regarding free shipping and whatnot. Plus I have the Amazon Instant Video app on my PS3 so I can watch a bunch of free TV shows, and also rent movies. I don't want to think about how much I've spent with Amazon in the past 3 years .

Let's clarify that... Free '2-day' shipping. It's the only reason I buy on amazon... What can I say... I hate delayed gratification.

Ditto... I also watch it on our bluray/DVD players, or my tablet.
