Hey guys,

Thought I'd share some pics of the rig. I still have to figure out hoops for the front bumper, and how to finish off the rear bumper. and lots of other little stuff. I always appreciate suggestions.

almost there...

I like the front bumper. The rig sits a little low for my liking but only you know how much lift you need or dont need.

yeah, i'm still playing with the torsion bars to see what i like. at the moment it's a little more than 1/2" lower in the front end. i'm probably going to crank it up level. final alignment is next week so i need to figure it out.

I like the bumper! Looks very beefy, but low profile at the same time. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The bumper was for an XJ, but we modded it to fit my gen 1. Haven't decided whether to keep it or not. I might build another to fit "just right". I'm just happy we could fit the winch in there.

Body Damage is Cool
The front bumper looks great. The back one, I'd trim that bottom tube so that the"bend" matches the front. Plus you'll be amazed how often those lower ones catch stuff on the trail. Like those SR wheels? Nice and light aren't they?

thanks, guys!

yeah, the sr wheels seem pretty light. all in all i'm surprised how smooth she rolls down the road with the 33's. I'm liking the front bumper, but considering making another that fits the winch a bit better. If i do I'll have to get rid of this one first. i could go to a smaller winch, but....

I'm planning to trim the rear bumper (esp the bottom tube) and hopefully add something on the ends that will fill the body gap - or at least make it less obvious.

The sliders should be finished next week along with the bumpers. hopefully I can get some more pics up then.

on another note, ilike the "paint" but the texture sure holds onto the dust.

exterior is monstaliner . lots of colors and tough. i was looking at smurfadelic, but the boss lady liked killer beej. who am i to argue when i cant even match my socks? i'm considering repainting the work boats at my job with it. application is pretty straight forward but attention to temp and catalyzation is important - ie don't get distracted. and wear a good mask!
