The gas gauge on my 99 is going/gone south..Pops up once in a while while driving sometimes works fine on initial start up then drops to below E and stays there most of the time, but comes up to what I believe it should be for a little while then drops back down. Seems to work more or most of the time when filled above half a tank. The tachometer recently stopped working a couple weeks ago, before the gas gauge problem. It too will kick on but very rarely. Not too sure if these two problems are related but if so I'm thinking problem is most likely in the instrument cluster..Thoughts? I'll remove and inspect and clean connections and let you guys know.

Mine was intermittent and finally crapped out. The idiot light still works. I haven't investigated yet.

Mine kind of works. When I have a full tank its good, but 100km later its at empty. I just go by distance driven, 450ish summer time, 390ish winter.

Hey Justice, been awhile. Hope things are going well with you and the family.
Sounds like a ground problem in the dash area. I would start with the connector going to the dash panel. Maybe remove and plug back in a few times. From there I guess checking the connection on the tank for gas gauge and the tach, your guess is as good or better than most of us.
