Body Damage is Cool
Was determined, by doctor, and personal experimentation, that I can no longer hold up a bike, because of my meds, and the fact that I broke my left heel, in 3 pieces. Mother is thrilled(maybe now I'll do something with my life, like my brother the dentist, sister the pharmacist, and my other sister the big business owner)....Oh yeah....After 3 sleep studies at the University of Chicago, it was determined that I do not go into REM sleep much, if ever. They kept giving me these studies, because I am a freak...Be Cool...Mike

Hi, Mike. Thanks for checking in. I gave up trying to be a bike ride many years ago because back problems hindered the weight [censored].

Even tried ATV. 3 checked ribs later I opted for four wheels and a roll cage.

Was reading recently something about sleep and DNA. Appears there is a connection between sleep and a specific gene where a few people do get less than 5-6 hours where the majority need 7-8 plus hours of sleep.

Don't recall article specifics but was interested in how the medical establishment is assuming more links between various disorders and genetics.

I usually only sleep 5-6 hrs ever since HS. On occasion like when I'm sick I'll sleep a full 8 hrs or more. That said, it doesn't stop me from taking a catnap on weekends during the summer when it's nice and warm out.

Cat naps are da bomb. I often get some great ideas or solve a problem with a light siesta.

Mike, I'm so sorry you've got to depart with your two-wheeled steed. Am still yearning for a Ural Gear-Up, myself.

I really like Urals, but since they first came out, the prices have shot up too high for me. The one with the 2 wheel drive is great. I tried one out, the winter they first came out my way......Maybe someday Mike
