1st of all do not use all caps in a post to me and tell me to listen. I have been listening. Apparently you have not been reading what I wrote. This was an idea and I wanted to know if it was even possible and weather the motor could handle the truck and if it had ever been done. We got into power issues and facts that were not facts about crappy motors with 300,000 miles on them.

I can assure you that I know many people that own the D-50 and the mighty max and the number 1 complaint is they are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy underpowered. No one I know that has one of these trucks can even come close to running though the hills of TN or KY at speed. This truck I have was given to me and 15 years ago when my dad bought it the truck was like new and had a brand new motor in it that was putting out power equivalent to the factory specs and it would not maintain speed over big hills. It ran flawlessly. For a truck to run perfectly and be so underpowered and still only get 16 or 17 MPG when running properly is not my idea of ideal.

When the motor pukes out I want to go with a diesel. In case you did not notice my recent post where I clearly stated I was unable to find a single case where my motor was put in this truck and that I might just get a different diesel like that of the 2.3L and work on it and get it all set to put in the truck when the time comes.

The length of time a person has been on a site is not as important as the knowledge they can offer in a reasonable way.

By the way this 2.0L has went into other trucks as a swap but not the Mighty Max. Its the reason why I came here to find out weather it would even work or not in this particular truck.

No ranting at me sir. I get irritated easily when people do not read what I wrote and then rant. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />
