Get yourself a 4d55 or 4d56, and go to town. Bolt in swap vs uber complex fwd to rwd conversion. I personally think a 4bt conversion would be awesome in a raider. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I also think the 4BT would be a bad decision but for completely different reasons. It way too tall, way too heavy, it is not a balanced engine so it will rattle your teeth out. It would require major mods to the suspension and frame to support the weight. Major mods would need to be done to the drivetrain if you increased the power. A Mitsubishi 4M40 would make a lot more sense. The 4BT is one of most overrated diesel engines out there. While it is reliable there are too many drawbacks to the 4bt to consider it for an engine swap. The are much better options out there these days. I know it was a popular swap 5 years ago but times have changed and this dinosaur is no longer recommended for swaps.
