Getting the Wheeling Fever
Does anyone here have any of these hubs for sale if I need to replace one?

I have heard that the manual hubs make for better fuel mileage. Is that true?

If it is and I replace them maybe it would make sense to go with manual hubs?

Thanks. I will defiantly get back to you if it needs replacing.

We are expecting 5 to 7 more inches of snow setting me back a bit longer so hopefully if I do need them you or another will have a set when I am finally able to work on this issue.

I saved your info on my comp and will look you up when I get it apart if I see an issue showing a replacement is needed.

I replaced both of mine with manual locking hubs, guaranty to lock and unlock, I was able to find ASINS, i think threw PLH , oh and the guaranty has to do with me getting out of the vehicle. METALMOVER

Somebody will probably give you some if you pay shipping.

Not on a Gen 1.

John,

What is the reason why the fuel economy on a gen 1 would not change with manual locking hubs?

By the way what is the exact difference between a gen1 and a gen2 other than the year that would not have an impact on the fuel consumption?

"Somebody will probably give you some if you pay shipping."

If someone is willing to give a set up for the shipping that is awesome. I would take advantage of such a great opportunity if I need them.

use half dexron and half acetone as a penetrant.

pb blaster is good stuff, but this mix ^^ puts it to shame. i use it when working on components of dissimilar metals that have been soaking in salt water. the only thing better is a cutting torch.

Do they sell a penetrant over the counter that's half Dexron and half Acetone?

I have always used PB because it worked well. I will give this new solution a try and see how well it works.

Not sure how this post will appear but each time I use the quote feature my response is included in the quote box. Why?

Are you typing via computer or cell phone?

On the ATF/acetone OTC question, no.
