Too much, dude needs a sense of humor and a better measuring tape. Front bumper too wide for my taste.

Something is not adding up. He is selling it after rebuilding the motor 200 miles ago.

Body Damage is Cool
So how much does the populous here think the market would bare for this truck, or similar?

Reason I'm throwing this question out there is that I'm trying to figure out what to do with my '92...

Need a Spot
Personally, I think he is asking way to much for that rig, Yeah it is a little unique, but the overall condition is not the greatest. I usually judge how well a car has been taken care of by it's seats. If the owner doesn't care enough to make sure the seats and interior are clean and are in good condition, then the rest of the major stuff probably also has been "half-assed" as my step dad would say. Check out the stain on the dash. Is that coffee? And the beer bottle opener mounted to teh dash!

This wording here makes me want to run away:

"Its A 2.3 Liter Turbo Diesel Outta A Dodge MightY Max..Very Rare"

"Swap Was Done Right EVerything Works Except TAck."

PLH,

Do you have some details on the 92?

At the end of the day it is a cool little rig. My main issue with the rig at this point has very little to do with the conversion it self but more or less the market. Now, why would I go out an pay $7500 for a conversion when I can import one that is in fantastic condition and did not need to be converted for much less?

The true value for this rig is probably closer to $4500.

Well I'm just thinking...
My '92 as it sits. V6 5 speed, straight & rust free 108K miles.

To put it in perspective:

Upgrades needed to be diesel & worthy:
4D56T - new crate ~ $4,200
Misc items for conversion ~ $1000 - yea it will add up, consider a good Centerforce clutch setup will be about $400 of it.
Install and sort it out figure 20 to 30 hours.
Tires/Wheels ~ $1200
Recover seats in leather - ~$1000 (front 2 and rear bench with fanny heaters).
Rear Locker ~$600 including all new bushings, rotors, seals, lines, calipers etc.
Front LSD, idler, pitman, tie rods, ball joint X4, front bushings, rotors, wheel bearings, calipers, lines, shocks, seals etc ~$1000.

So starting with a clean chassis, $9000 for a good upgrade plus a bunch of labor.

Would / could a '92 be worth ~$12 to ~$14K?

I also think part of the problem is its a mitsu. If it was a whatever-swapped Toyota it would be an easy sell. But being a next to no demand truck so what if market value is 4.5k when there's only 10 people who care and none actually in the market looking to buy.

My truck started out on C.L. at 3,500$ and I watched the price fall for months till I finally bought it for 1,700. Guy was almost begging me to take it.

So the "price is firm" will change. I say they best serious offered he'll see is more like 2,800.

88 Montero, StarQuest turbo, Kormex 5speed +tuff-pan w/phoenix f. stage2 clutch, 4in lift+33' tires, 4.875 lsd, short-throw shifter, Aisin hubs, SR big brakes, gen2 uca's, elantra alt, and so much more... 16g turbo w/hardpipes + 4.90 locking disk-brake axle soon (maybe lsd or aussie front??)
