I agree Eddy. I will pull it out and look at the two that looked original. The fusible links I have seen are as you describe but the wires are not exposed where you can touch them. The inside of that box did not look like it had room for the fusible links I have seen in the past and the white wires looked thick enough that they could handle a hell of a current before melting.

These are just jumper wires with a coating around them like regular wire IMO. They must have replaced the fusible links with jumper wires. lol... Rube Goldberg fix I guess.

I will also thumb thru the manual and see if I can find that box and what the links inside are supposed to actually look like for that application.

Most links I have seen are inside a plastic housing and you twist it and pull it apart and find a fuse. They look nothing like the fuses in a fuse panel.
