I run 35x12.5/15 on 8" wheels with 3.5 - 3.75" BS with no problems.

I also run my 86 with 33x12.5-15 on the stock 7" SR wheels with virtually no problems. It will rub when leaving a downward facing driveway with the wheels cranked all the way to the right, but that's not the fault of the backspacing.
