Getting the Wheeling Fever
Finally downloaded the ASA a few minutes ago. I don't know why I didn't get it before, but it's pretty neat. Thanks for the info.

Looks like I'll need this thread at some point. I know I've got at least one side rear window molding missing. What's this ASA program?

Welcome!

ASA is Mitsu's Dealership Parts Program (Windows PC only). By entering your VIN, you can look up the actual mitsu part numbers when you need to replace stuff.

Can download from Mitsubishilinks.com.
Can also download a PDF of the Factory Service Manual (FSM) for many different years.

You should read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) thread at the top of the forum and linked posts within it. There you will find explanations on this and much more.

If you happen to be on your 50th post plus asking this kind of questions, folks will become more adamant asking you to read it...

AZRaider, I use ASA like this: I'll open up the program to look up part numbers, then open another window with my favorite dealer's web site (mitsubishiparts.net) and copy/paste the part numbers from ASA to the other site to look up pricing.

You can also use the ASA program to check the validity of parts you can order from Rock Auto (they don't have everything), since Rock often lists the OEM part number along with the aftermarket part being sold.

The schematics are really helpful, too.

Can also use it to cross reference parts between different years. If the p/n is the same between different years then the part should be identical.

If they're different p/n's then they will be different parts. However, it's still possible the part is close enough to fit. classic example of that is gen II trailing arms being a great replacement for gen I trailing arms.

Alright cool. I'll check it out. I was at work and didn't even think of the FAQ thread. I'll try to remember that. It sounds helpful though.
