Is the rumor about a Diesel model being available in the US true also?

A new Diesel full framed rig with a locker (and leather trim required with that probably) is about the only thing I would really want to trade my 1999 Gen 2.5 in on as it is starting to show it's age. I have to stay away from the trucks at the GM dealer when I bring my little car in for service.
