Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have Evoscan for my 2004 Evo 8 RS. It does not work with the Montero. My ELM137 Bluetooth OBDII device may work. I will give it a try. If it does you can Bluetooth your phone to the device and run gauges for any of the sensors you care to monitor.

I let a friend borrow the device so I will have to wait till later next week to test it.

On my Galant VR4 I use http://www.technomotive.com/prod/datalog/datalogger.htm

The no longer make it but it could work for Pre OBDII Montero's.....I just don't have one to try it on.

The ELM137 tool didn't work. I don't think it has the right protocol to talk to the ECU....

Move to Az and i'll let you use my MUT-II, today i used it to set my new TPS. Man that was easy.

After looking at This Item I am thinking it might be cheaper to move to AZ?

Just for future ref, evoscan does work on the gen3, 2003+ 3.8s. I threw a DTC on the way to Red Deer today. Evoscan said it was a P0456 (evap emissions small leak). Probably didn't tighten the gas cap enough. Lol. But it does pick up the 3.8 in case anyone is wondering. You can scan through obd or MUT2 protocols. Also works for abs codes too.. It couldn't do a damn thing with my diesel though. Heheh...
