I'll know more this weekend but it made a sound that I've never heard before. Sounded like a belt at first & but was losing power. As I was pulling over, it was ticking pretty hard & cut off on me. Couldn't turn her back over. But I'll know more this weekend when we get into it.

Just wanted to plan ahead. I have a few options. I have a junked Montero stored away with 180k miles on it but the motor had seals replaced right before it was wrecked.

Do I take That motor and swap it in and drive till that one goes, rebuild that motor with new parts or look into a Pajerp turbo diesel motor swap?

I would obviously live the turbo diesel but if it will take a lot of work to function properly, I'll go a different route. Wanted to hear options first
