I'm looking at redoing my venting system on my big '97 Sport. What I have now is kludgey and bulky and I'm just not real happy with it.
I have two ARB locker solenoids which blow vapor all over the passenger side of my engine bay. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> The front differential vent hose and the dual t-cases run to between the battery and brake master cylinder. Transmission isn't vented any differently than stock.
I was thinking of this for the t-cases ...
Allstar Mini Breather Tank, but it's still kinda bulky and I'd have to cut the roll-bar mount off and build a bracket.
This for the ARB air lockers ...
ARB Solenoid Vent. Run the hoses down towards the bottom of the engine bay. I'd still want something on the end of the hose to keep crud out.
This seems like overkill for one diff ...
4WD 4x4 Diff Breather Kit. And, I'm afraid I'll just have the same problem with the front diff as I do with the fumes from the ARBs. At least with the fuel filters I run on the end of the hoses now, there's some area for the fumes to condense - they're not just exhausted straight into the engine bay. I also think those sintered filters sitting out in the open are going to get crudded up pretty quick. Something easy to plug up is probably not a good idea.
You guys have any nifty ideas? I've been surfing for a while now and there's lots on running the hoses but it seems not too many people think about what to put on the end.
