I have done this to get a little more lift. Used 2" coil spring spacers from a Sequoia, Rancho RS70081, to get two more inches. Trimmed a little in the middle so it sits better on the top to the body. gave me lots of lift. My post may still be on here. Search by my name.
I did the whole thing when I did mine. Gen 2 upper arms w/ bump stops trimmed and torsion bar adjusted up. Did have to go longer on the shocks with he spacer in. Used shocks from a Bronco 83-96. Worked out good.
