Trust me on this. You must have a xover pipe between the banks, or it will sound like a 4cyl oddfire when it passes.
Also gets some flow improvement and really evens out the sound into a good rumble instead of a raspy sound. This is not an issue with rear exit duals, but it is in side dumps.

There's lots of room for the exh at the sides where you can armor it up well. I'd joint the exh at the places where it goes straight down the sides to make it easier to remove with the rock bars in place. Ever think about making the rock bars the exhaust pipes?

only 1 bad body mount, but its BAD...

I will get back to the engine swap after I finish POR15 coating the frame, repairing the rust holes in the body, and installing a 3 inch body lift. Lots to do, but all I have is time (and welder).

Have you thought about raising the fuel tank up with the body, that would clear it of rocks and stuff, also eliminates the need to modify the filler tube and breather.
Easy thing to do with the body out of the way since it would just need mounts on top of the cross-pipes it's hanging from today.

I have some NICE rust-free frames you need.

I would love to buy a clean 4 door. My montero is a lost cause sadly. I wish I could find a clean one with a moon roof. Raiders frame is pretty legit other than the one small spot I broke open with a hammer while "pinging" the frame.

My fuel tank is rotted on top, so I am going to go fuel cell and try to raise it up the 3 inches.

*Small Update*

I finished most of the work on the frame, and reattached the body. I really like how the body lift gave the 33s a more factory look. Test fitting has restarted on the 5.3, and after cutting the floor out slightly, it has made the fitting a far easier task. I have to buy a lower profile oil pan from a Vette, and block hugger manfolds, but it's coming around. Just gotta wait for some more $$ <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

First "real" test fit! That looks so freaking awesome!

Looking good.

I'm surprised by the lack of cutting to make it fit good.
How's the clearance up front at the accessories?
