Hi everyone figured I would say hello. I have a 1988 SWB I found here in WV. I'm from Ohio and moved here for my job, I've done some rust work rebuilt the 2.6 and auto tranny for now. Would like to put in a diesel and some axles at some point, she's my daily driver.
Where in Ohio? I love WV. Used to hang out at Seneca Rocks in particular. Wish the heart of WV was closer to me in Cleveland, I'd buy some land down there.

I spent my formative years in Medina, and hunted WV extensively. Drove thru Hurricane on many occasions. You'll find everything you need here. The collective mind of this forum is beyond compare.

Hey, hey. Another Gen 1. Welcome to the Wire. Your truck is tougher than you might think.
Mine just cranked out 1,000 miles in a 3 day weekend to California to work a rally stage. Threw the PS belt on the way there, ran *really* low on coolant on the way back, managed to get 18mpg at 70mph, with a few stints at 75+ - into the wind and uphill. Never overheated, ran like a boss.
Much as I'm looking forward to getting a Delica next year, I spent a good 8 hours in the truck yesterday with the windows down and miles of open road ahead of me across the desert just thinking about how cool it would be to swap in a 4G64T...
Also, any of you Ohio gents within a short drive of Sandusky should consider checking out the DSM/EVO/GTR Shootout in Norwalk this August. It's pretty much a couple hundred DSMs and Evos invading a small town for a weekend of drinking, er racing, but if you're into Mitsubishi, it's a good time.
