As you know i did mine the same way. After a couple thousand miles I've noticed that the inside fwd corner of the p/s footwell (@ the trans tunnel and firewall) has lifted a little. No big deal because it gets covered by a floor mat. It could be I put it on a little thick in the corner, but I also noticed it gets pretty warm there from the exhaust. When I get back to the US I'll trim it out and fix it. At the same time I'll find a way to put a heat shield behind the exhaust or something to help dissipate the heat - can't hurt right?

i used the al's hnr before the bed liner the hnr says it deflects heat and can withstand temps up to 500 degrees. so for i really like it and i noticed a lot less road noise but yeah when a rock gets kicked up it sounds like gun shot

Road noise on the hwy and paved roads is a little louder without carpet - but not that much more noticeable. What's your experience? I took the rig off road this weekend - desert stuff - rocks, sand, gravel. It's definitely A LOT louder without carpet. I expected as much. The maintenance - or lack thereof - is worth the extra noise.

Glad I put in a loud stereo.

Be prepared to turn it up! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
