Alright we're pretty close to a year out at this point and its a good time to start planing for this ultimate EXPEDITION of extreme OVERLANDING 4 wheel drive required bad action. All join in on this will never forget the things they see, and learn this is a trip that tests man and machine the days can be long but the views will be mind blowing campsites will be next to lakes, streams, and vast canyon over looks.
Minimum Requirements to join in on this are : 33" tire for short wheel base 35" tire for Long Wheel base Rocksliders 1 locking differential Fuel tank either raise up into the frame rails on LWB and 4cyl swbs or armored SWB V6's should have it armored as they can't raise into the frame rails out of harms way I'm making this a requirement as it just sucks crushing tank and they are getting pretty hard to replace these days. If you come with out armor or a raise be prepared to loose some fuel space.
Not required but having a lower geared transfer case the altitude is gonna have the engines down on power and the trails are hard over heating will be constant without them and will use alot of time waiting to cool down to keep from risking mechanical damage.
Current Main trails we will be hiting are
Rubicon trail Fordyce creek trail
More trails are to be added we'll keep this thread up todate as we add trails and make adjustments to requirements. This first thread is just to get our brains started up.

We need to figure out the least popular days for the Rubicon and Fordyce Creek, those trails will probably soak up about 6 days. How many rest days? and what other trails do we need to run?

Not sure I will get an engine by then, seems to be a two year cycle of exploding money. But, I would add Barrett Lake, near the start of the Rubicon. Start there and work north, maybe Snake Lake at the far end. Could go into Barrett on Saturday, come out Sunday and start in on the Rubicon avoiding most of the weekend, and be out of both trails and onto a lesser trail by the next weekend. Also have to not schedule during Jamboree.

Good idea on avoiding the Rubicon during and near the weekend, We should probably start the Rubicon on a Tuesday.

Even if you start from Loon lake on Sunday you are ok, as most are headed out the other way. Going in late Friday or Saturday is not a good plan. Could do an off balanced week and start Sunday at Barrett.

So lloyd your thinking start barett lake to rubicon to snake lake then onto fordyce creek is this the correct order your thinking? Also i think for this trip we wanted to try one of the alternate entrances to the con like going thru wentworth springs instead of starting at loon lake.
