You mean as an alternate date? Whatever dates that are on PA_JERO's white board are the days i got approved from work, I can't remember what they are though. I think we'll be out there those days because we're taking the easy drive up instead of like last time when we did the majority of the drive in a day.

Looking harder at the calendars for the next few months and we are really stuck with the first week of August, maybe a couple of days into the prior week. School looks like it starts August 10th.

It's only kindergarten, just let him ditch. Or like the rest of us leave the wives at home to watch the chitlins.

We really like going as a family, and now with a good trail companion we rock it. Its good for the kids as well, gets them away from the damn video games. Esther is really against starting off his very first weeks pulling him out of school....We have to pin our dates down soon as she has two weeks to take off and we came up with an excuse to split them. We may just need to see if anyone else needs to go sooner and plan that first week of August for ourselves. Would head south as well since those trails are at least a little easier.

You mean the kids don't get to take their video games with them in the car?

Tablets stay home is our rule. We might take the portable DVD player for a long trip to the Sierras though. They are 3 and 5, might not get away with that when they are teenagers <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Well, plans just keep changing. Not knowing where we would be with our rig causing this late planning is really a problem. Esther is struggling to get the right days off. We are considering the idea of me going alone. Not thrilled with it, but better then not going maybe....
