Getting the Wheeling Fever
I figured I've been absent from these forums for years I should properly (re)introduce myself. I'm Kyle, in from south central Minnesota, and I own an '89 Dodge Raider with a rebuilt 3.0. I work at an auto parts store, build guitars in my free time, as well as do photography and freelance writing. I look forward to relearning these vehicles and helping out wherever I can.

Nice raider bro. How long have you owned it?

Thanks! I picked it up just this past weekend. Years ago I I owned an 87 Montero that had a darker shade of blue (the picture makes the Raider look more navy blue than the bright blue it is), with the same grey ground effects and the 4 banger.

There's only one small patch of rust on the Raider and it's less than two inches long. Originally it was a Maryland truck so no salt damage. It has a fresh rebuilt engine in it and a three speed auto...not the four speed OD. I do miss that overdrive...

Thank you guys! My wife just told me tonight this is her favorite car. We first met in my Montero, and this obviously reminds her of those days. And the fact that it runs so much nicer than the Montero....hell it's my favorite too lol.

Three speed???

Wow, I didn't know they came with three speed Automatics. I learn something new about these rigs all the time. Wow!

Wow, I'd have to question that, too... seriously no Overdrive switch on the shifter??

It has the OD switch on the shifter, but Wednesday I'm having it taken in to replace the tranny filter and gasket, and I'm having my guy inspect it to determine if I was fed a line of crap or if it's legitimately a 3 speed.
