Sorry, the turbo motor swap is only for the 2.6 trucks, unless you want to go really wild and use a Stealth 3.0 dohc twin turbo, and it's somewhat of a pain to pull off. I don't believe I've seen one native to this forum, but have seen some unconfirmed posts elsewhere. About the only way to get more power cheap on the sohc 3.0 is to use Diamante (?) pistons with higher compression. I'm not an expert on that.

Please turn off the capslock, and welcome aboard. We can tell you how to rebuild the motor right, if the block is salvagable, and what donor blocks you can use. Plan on rodding out the radiator for sure, and go to pulling the motor and seeing how bad it is...

Depends on how talented you are, 3.5 swaps are awesome and much more power than turbo 2.6, for this you will need a good donor truck and you will wire everything yourself.
I've heard about aussies swapping the 3.5 block under 12v 3.0 heads/EFI and tuned to work but i know nothing about that.

Body Damage is Cool
There are a few who have done the Chevy 4.3 swap and I believe a ford 302 swap somewhere around here.

Isn't the 4.3 swap also best done in a 2.6? I know the 2.6 and 3.0 trucks' frame rails up front are different widths apart.

88 Montero, StarQuest turbo, Kormex 5speed +tuff-pan w/phoenix f. stage2 clutch, 4in lift+33' tires, 4.875 lsd, short-throw shifter, Aisin hubs, SR big brakes, gen2 uca's, elantra alt, and so much more... 16g turbo w/hardpipes + 4.90 locking disk-brake axle soon (maybe lsd or aussie front??)
