I think there are two water temp switches. The one for the a/t is open at room temp, and the one for the a/c is closed at room temp.
Not responsible for advice not taken...

Of the two switches I posted, the newer one is slightly thinner than the older one, so it will not fit in the hole. Which is fine since it's not the correct switch for that spot, but what is? I can't find a part number that works. The dealership came up with a F fitting vacuum line, which is obviously wrong.

autozone has it listed as TU317 temp sensor
it dosent have to be surrounded by water to be an island

you could also use temp sensor Standard TS-333

I replace mine with a 12 volt cube relay, was able to take the wires from the plug. I works just fine for cheap. Just ring out the wires with a meter.
