Can someone please tell me how in the heck you get the #6 plug boot out (drivers side firewall) so you can pull the plug on a 1992 Trooper 3.2 SOHC. I got all the others just fine, but that massive brake booster only lets the boot pull out half way before it makes contact. I just wasted over an hour before I gave up and left the old plug in. I can't find anything in my Chilton's.
I'm adding a pic here that I re-sized to upload. Note. It runs the same with the boot all the way in or pulled out like this. Could the boot be FUBAR'd? It's the only wire that looks like it's OEM or a replacement as it doesn't match the other 5.
'92 Trooper S, 3.2L SOHC, 5sp, 4X4, bone stock for now.
For the #6 plug on a '95 6 cyl Rodeo, I start out with a 3 in. locking extension. I fish it in a bit; then attach another locking extension and push in some more. If memory serves me right, 2 of these extensions and the socket itself are long enough.
