FYI, CAM test comparing valve lift VS rotation of three cams. the graph shows lift VS rotation for a stock cam with stock slipper rockers, the AU roller cam with its stock roller rockers and a stock slipper cam using the V6 Roller rockers.

I took this data a long long time ago... I figured It would be nice to share it again since this subject never seems to die.

1: The V6 rollers on the stock slipper 2.6 cam have a very lazy opening and closing ramp rate, lots of added duration with very little valve lift ( at the opening point).

2: With the V6 rockers, the intake valve opens really early. I centered all the profiles at the 180 mark ( or close to it). When installed on the engines the intake opens even sooner.

3: With the V6 Rockers, you lose almost all overlap.

Basically, you get a lot more duration but you don't get the benefit of good valve acceleration off of the seat that a properly design cam would get you.

It will work, but not nearly as well as a properly deigned cam.
