Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anyone have any leads on where a fella can find a bouncy seat frame to stick on the pass side? I have a bunch of 87 SWB parts I'd trade or buy it outright.

So whats up with these bouncy seats. I drove like 70 miles to pick up one. I hate it. Off road it just throws me around. On road i hit a pot hole while shifting and I just end up bouncing and grinding the clutch. I have to tighten it up all the way to make it the tolerable, but at that point i might as well lock it. I put it on the passnger side finally. You want mine? Good ridens. (Sorry for the rant)

Problem is I threw my seat base out and I dd the truck, so if you want to work something out, them pm and we can text. Also, I'm in NYC so shipping shouldn't be too bad.

Sorry for the delayed response... obviously first call to the op, but been thinking and I dont think this is worth the hassle. I dont think what I typed above is very clearly written. I threw out my regular seat frame, so I can't be without a seat. So I can't sell this thing unless someone sends me a regular frame first. So between shipping here and back its at least $60 my guess. Then between me changing it out, schleping to a shipping joint, wrapping, and waiting in line, looking for parking, that's 5 hours, so at least $50 just for my time. Seeing as the average parking ticket out here is $65, and I can do a brake job on the side in less time for more cash, yeah.

Excuse the rant, I just dont see how this thing is worth the shipping cost. But if its really valuable, Mark me an offer. Otherwise, sorry for the long post.

Agreed, I want it mostly for the novelty not necessity. Looking at $110 + $65 in fines, that's $175. I'll need to remove and mail my frame. That's $60 + $200 in labor for a total of $260. So you might just as well send the seat frame and a check for the difference of $85.
Just kidding of course. Appreciate you getting back to me. I'll keep searching, not really a priority at the moment.

^I literally loled in my car reading that.

I see your point of it being a novelty. Speaking of novelties, I am willing to find the time for rare parts. If you have any rare parts I'm willign to trade or even put cash on top. Anything 1983 (grill, center console, ect). JDM/EU toys like lights. I'll even drop some decent coin on a non US diesel spec hood with intercooler scoop.

Thanks buddy.

I'm fairly new to these so I've no clue as to what's rare. I have a bunch of parts from an 87 grill, all the lights & turn signals, all the mirrors, every interior switch, inclometer, glove box, all the factory stereo stuff, speakers, mesh covers, all the Dodge Raider emblems, 2 weber 32/36 carbs. I dunno a bunch of sh#t that came with it.
