Haztoys, what is this wiring tune-up of which you speak?


Un-plug and pull down the wiring all of it ..Clean and OHM the wiring ...Soak the wire plugs in white vineger..That cleans where the wire meets the connector ...Replace the ICM and TPS and MASS plugs ... Take all 'male' pins on the plugs and give them a'little' twist and the 'female' plugs a 'little' crimp so they fit better..Dig the wiring out at the back of the key and clean it ...Delectric grease the whole mess...Open up the ECU and look at it for hot spots..Make sure the ICM motor OHM is good at ICM and ECU plug so the ECU does not get cooked ... Mitsu have sh&^%ty wiring ...Its all can be fixed ..But no one ever wants to do this and chases their a$$ trying to get one to run right ...Peace mealing the wiring is a long road..



First I've heard of doing this on them, used to be a given on MG's and...Fiat's maybe. While I'm grounded, sounds like something I should do.


I would not use the words MG and Fiat in the same breath as Mitsu.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />...

But old Rangerover or 80's Italain Exotic more so no more the pos mind you ... And you have to dick with it all the time ...But in the end fun cars and very trick ...You can't just repair it you have to start over ...and dont get behind on problems
