Im back with an update and more issues. A wiring tune up is definitely in order but for now I would like to see if I can just get this back on the road. Here is where I am at right now.
So while I was trying to figure out why my raider would not run right after replacing numerous items as I mentioned earlier in the thread, the truck still wouldn't run right, it would not idle right so I bypassed the FIAC valve (capping off the coolant lines to the TB and blocking the air passage and then ran the plastic part on the ISC all the way out and left it unplugged per a post by MBrannon ), the truck ran solid after doing so but still died on me 1 mile down the road, so I finally found a good computer and I put that in the truck this morning. The truck started right up and idled great. I drove the truck about 10 miles which hasn't happened in weeks so I thought I had this thing figured out. I got the truck home and shut it down. To test it I let it sit there and then I was going to try and start it up again. So I went back out to start it up again to drive it again just to test it again, it wouldn't start up again! Now I'm lost.
So my question for everyone is this, do you think since I made those modifications to the TB and left ISC unplugged that it did something to and put the computer into some sort of limp mode? I see people bypassing these things all over the web with no problems. Should I get another TB and put everything back to stock since I now have a good working computer? I just don't understand why it would run so well and then not start back up again!
I did check the wiring to the black box (power unit) near the coil and everything is good, I have spark so that shouldn't be the problem.
Any ideas?

I'd pull the plugs and see if any are wet. Maybe the injectors are leaking and flooding the engine? Try cranking with gas pedal depressed?

I'd pull the plugs and see if any are wet. Maybe the injectors are leaking and flooding the engine? Try cranking with gas pedal depressed? thanks Ill do this now and see what I come up with. Its just nice to have other people thinking about this besides my small brain.

Crappy electrical connections on a 25-year-old vehicle? Ya I know, but why would it run totally fine and then after shutting it off not start again? if it was electrical connections when things heat up they just won't connect anymore? Thank you for your help.

Could I have maybe gotten another bad computer? I guess anything is a possibility. I wish there was an easy way to tell if one was bad.

If we had the same year vehicle, I'd drive mine down and we could check them on each other's vehicles. But we have different ECUS. I've got two ECUs giving me different behavior. One stalls out like yours, and the other is idling high when cold and loping between 1500 and 1800 rpms when warm.

If we had the same year vehicle, I'd drive mine down and we could check them on each other's vehicles. But we have different ECUS. I've got two ECUs giving me different behavior. One stalls out like yours, and the other is idling high when cold and loping between 1500 and 1800 rpms when warm. Thanks for the thought! That would have been cool. Im going to order a stock throttle body and see if that makes any difference. If not then I don't know what next, another computer i guess.
