Hey all,
I will make it quick.
About a month ago decided I had enough of the leaking gear oil into the rear brakes due to bad outer seals.

Had a machine shop press new bearings with the new outer seal. I installed a new inner seal and fresh lubricants.

Now, yesterday driving home I notice a grinding noise as if the bearings are dry or even worst gone bad. Could it be that the machine shop did not set them as far as they were supposed to and when I assembled it back together the extra pressure has mess up the bearings? That is one of my theories. Oil level is good after 2.5 qts and the finger tip measuring method, you know.

I will be taking apart in a few minutes, AGAIN.

Not difficult but. I was expecting not to touch it again in 25 years. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
