I wish you would of did o-ring swap on the A/C when you had it empty ... I'll bet its leaking at the pump adapter o-rings ..Is the adapter dirty where the A/C oil has leaked ?...You can 'see' A/C leak if you know what your looking for ... As a mechanic by trade ...I have come to see a mess of info out there is BS in the car world .. ..A shop owner I know shop truck has had R134 put right on top of R12 just to see the out come ..That was ten years ago..LOL...Still going strong...Would I say try that ...No...LOL... I could go on for hours on the sh*&t we have tryed and pulled off...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've read so many different approaches. I just did what I thought was the most prudent and also the least expensive for a 25 year old car that isn't my primary transportation.

Oh, wow, that's awesome! I've already done the R134 changeover. I probably should have checked out some of the Hispanic shops on east Washington St. in Indianapolis. It seems those guys can get anything.

Blowing cold enough for now (one week). Has been been blowing close to ambient for about four years. You might know I'd pick the coolest Summer in 25 years to get my AC working. It's supposed to hit the 90s in a few days. I'll have a better idea of how it's working then.
