Appreciate the feedback, gents.

As it stands, I've got a local rally buddy who recently got an 87 back up and running, currently down mid-TBI conversion. He's bought a house and is looking to lighten the load so to speak. The price is right for the entire truck, so I'm 99% certain I'll just buy his truck, swap engines, maybe gearboxes (mine leaks), and whatever little odds and ends I need/want before throwing the spun lump in the back and putting it back out on Craigslist for something ridiculous like $500.

I'll keep y'all posted.

And I just saw you driving that the other day. Which AutoZone and QT did you go to? I'm wondering if it was the same day.

Let me know if you want to sell me just the crank from the bad motor. If the scoring is light, I can use it for a core.

I'm generally on Greenway from 43rd Ave to Scottsdale Rd around 0630-0700hrs, and then Bell Rd to 19th Ave between 1500-1600hrs, M-F. Truck shti the bed at Bell and Cave Creek. Tow picked me up at the QT just west of Cave Creek around 1530hrs last Wednesday.

I don't plan on parting out either truck. Just going to swap good parts over to mine, then sell the other truck complete, with spun engine in the back so next owner can get it repaired, installed, and be back on the road for under a grand.

Haztoys mentioned having a crank up above. If you need one, might drop him a PM. He's a good guy.

Happy to pass along the stalled project to someone that can get use out of it.
