New, these are around $1100 + shipping from Australia and time/cost of installation into a suitable tcase.

I friggin' love these things. RocÝnante goes just about everywhere with them. 48% reduction over stock. 3000rpm in 5th gear is 15mph. Gives excellent throttle control on climbs, keeping you moving without stalling, and you just idle back down steep grades in 1st without touching the brakes. Personally, I'd get these before I'd get a locker.

I'm importing a Delica in the next 6 months, and can't use them with the automatic transmission. Furthermore, research reveals the manual Delica tcase has to be machined to accept them, so it's highly unlikely I'll end up keeping them when I sell RocÝnante.

I wonder if anyone would be interested in doing $1000 shipped for the compete tcase, gears already installed, with or without a good, stock tcase in trade.

Posting up the gauging interest post well in advance because this is a high dollar item interested parties might need to save for. Would be nice to negotiate a solid deal in advance.

Thanks.

What are you going to ask for the complete rig with and without Aussie case?

That's part of the reason for gauging interest on the gears separate. Figure I might get $2000 for the truck either way - fresh bearings, less than 10k on the timing components and pumps, working AC, 35-40k left on the BFG ATs. I'm thinking the gears are worth more separate, and the more money I can put toward the Delica note.

Am I crazy?

That's about right, I just got $2500 for mine with Aussie gears and rear locker. Making a bit extra doing some services and stuff on the truck. I'll never recoup what i've got into it but it's going to a good home so i'm happy.
I think you are on the right track.

If nobody wants the gearset, I'll probably ask $3000 for the truck and haggle a bit. Hope it all goes to good homes.

Note: Marks4WD doesn't deal with the US anymore, unless you have an Aussie hook up plan on spending an additional $100 to purchase the gears through Advance Adapters.

Good luck with sale.

Interesting. So the V6 and I4 are the same transfer case, or do the gears just interchange between them? That is a practical swap for me, there is interest here.

That, I couldn't tell you, mate. You'd have to triple check the website, if not ask someone more versed in these trucks than I. My understanding is they're different, but I've nothing concrete to back that up.

Just the low range is interchangeable but the cases are different (rear output), double check that but I remember way back when these gears first came out (Az Crew member Lordtrunks helped pay development costs) they made 4 cylinder gear set and then went into development of the V6 case they ended up being the same. Double check that but i think the only difference is Auto vs Manual.
