A/C High side port question

I went to pull a vacuum on my 89 3.0 monty today but the high side port is a different smaller size than the suction port and my r12 manifold hose doesn't fit. It does fit the suction side.
Anyone know what size/thread that high side port is? I'd rather adapt that port to my hoses than get a 134a retro fitting kit and borrow another 134 manifold just to pull a vac.
