There is nothing wrong with the geometry.

Perhaps a short list is appropriate to explain the change to V6 Gen I parts:

1. V6 Calipers
2. V6 Caliper mounts
3. V6 Rotors bought new
4. Sundry hoses
5. V6 vacuum booster
6. V6 master cylinder
7. short pipe that comes off the front of master cylinder
8. your brand choice for new brake pads

The caliper mounts are the foundation for this change, and the two modes of brakes (4- and 6-cyl) use different pieces. You may be able to use the 4-cyl MC and booster, but the V6 parts are system matched. Hoses have different fittings.
