I bought Gen 2 calipers and brackets. When installed, the pads and caliper sit out away from the center too far. The top of the pads is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch out from the top of the rotor. The pad does not make full contact with the rotor.

Since from what I've been able to research about the parts, it appears that the rotors are the same diameter (around 275mm), I can only conclude that the geometry of the swap is wrong for this vehicle.
