Servicing consists only of draining the old fluid and cleaning or replacing the filter screen and then replacing the fluid. I would NOT flush the tranny under any circumstances. To do so stirs up old ghosts that are better left sleeping. I would only use the special Mitsu fluid. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence that Dexron just is not as good.I would try rockauto for the cable. If that fails, I'd try to find a real speedo repair shop and get them to reuse the ends and make a whold new cable.

MITSUBISHI Diamond right?
He tends to use the brand Red line I think. But he can get the Mitsu stuff. He is worried that if he does this that it won't even drive off the rack...
Issue with Rock Auto is I can't find the cable. I did find a Mitsu parts dealer that has it- but not 100% sure. .
